The Center for Student Engagement and the Center for Career Development will host the Elevate Conference on Saturday, January 31, 2026, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Elevate is UHCL’s signature leadership and career development conference, designed to help students build skills, clarify goals, and strengthen their impact on campus and beyond.
Through a series of interactive workshops, panels, and networking opportunities, students will explore leadership, identity, professional preparation, and next-step planning. The conference brings together student leaders, emerging professionals, alumni, and campus partners for a focused day of learning and connection.
This year, Elevate will also feature new incentives aimed at increasing student organization engagement. Two student organizations will each receive a $350 programming award to support events and initiatives during the 2025–2026 academic year:

One award will go to the organization with the highest percentage of its membership in attendance at Elevate.

The second award will go to the organization with the highest total number of members in attendance.
An organization may only win one of the two awards, ensuring that multiple groups have the opportunity to benefit. These incentives are intended to encourage broad participation and to invest directly back into student-led programming across campus.
In addition, all students who submit an RSVP and attend the conference will be entered into a drawing for a complimentary UHCL class ring thanks to the Office of Alumni Relations. One attendee will be selected at the conclusion of the event, offering a meaningful keepsake that recognizes their engagement and commitment.
