The Center for Student Engagement at the University of Houston-Clear Lake is proud to welcome Dr. Donald Chamberlain III as our new Program Manager for Leadership and Community Engagement. Dr. Chamberlain officially begins his role on Tuesday, September 2, bringing a wealth of experience and passion for student success to our growing team.
Dr. Chamberlain’s career in higher education spans a variety of impactful roles, including Program Coordinator for First and Second-Year Experience at Prairie View A&M University, Adjunct Faculty in Education at Lone Star College, and leadership positions in Advising, Student Outreach, and Recruitment at Lone Star College. His professional journey highlights a deep commitment to guiding students through critical transitions and equipping them for long-term achievement.
He earned his Doctor of Education in Executive Educational Leadership from Houston Christian University, following his Master of Social Work and Bachelor of Science in Speech Communication from Southern Illinois University Carbondale.
Outside of his professional work, Dr. Chamberlain enjoys watching Law & Order: SVU, cooking, traveling, taking walks, and listening to music. These interests reflect his well-rounded perspective and his ability to connect with others beyond the classroom or office.
Sharing his enthusiasm for this next chapter, Dr. Chamberlain said:
