Hawk Tank Competition

Hawk Tank is a business pitch competition hosted by the American Marketing Association at UHCL. Participants will work individually or in teams to develop an original business idea, product, or service based on an industry of their choice, and pitch their concept to a panel of judges.

Each team will identify its target audience, explain the problem its business idea solves, highlight its unique value proposition, develop a basic marketing and promotional strategy, and present how the concept could succeed in the marketplace. Teams are encouraged to create visual materials, such as Canva presentations, mock advertisements, or product concepts, to support their pitches.

Presentations will be evaluated based on creativity, feasibility, business and marketing strategy, and presentation clarity. Students from all majors and experience levels are welcome. No prior business or marketing experience is required. Participants are highly encouraged to bring a laptop if available.

Pizza is planned for participants, pending approval and availability.

This event is hosted by the American Marketing Association at UHCL. Additional student organization partnerships will be announced as they are confirmed.
